Hey LifeMission Family!

This fall season has felt like a whirlwind here in the Missions Department! We want to take a moment to celebrate some new things that have happened over the last few months and share our excitement for the future.

First, I want to start by saying a huge thank you to Jack Frisbie who has served as our Global Missions & GO Prayer Assistant, Aug. 2021-Sept. 2023. He has brought so much order and advancement to our ministry these last few years. It has been a delight for Pastor Jacob and I to work with him and watch the Lord teach and grow him in so many ways! Several months ago, Jack shared with us that he would be starting the GO School of Ministry here at the church this fall. Even though we were very sad this meant his time working on staff with us was coming to an end, we were thrilled for this next step in his journey.

In light of this, we began the hiring process this summer to find his replacement and we are very excited to share that Cara Ernest is our new Global Missions & Local Outreach Coordinator! Cara has served on staff at LifeMission Church in various roles over the last 8 years, including a season as a full time missionary overseas. She has been serving on our executive Missions Team for the past 3+ years and brings a lot of perspective, experience, and passion to the table. We are so excited for the future with Cara serving in this position. Cara also serves as the head of our Vulnerable Children Missions Subcommittee and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to our Missions Team in regards to caring for vulnerable children and families around the world. If you are needing to contact the missions department for any reason please feel free to email Cara at cara.ernest@lifemission.church

Lastly, I am excited to share that the GO School of Ministry has had a very successful launch to its first year! We have a total of 9 students in the school, 6 of which have chosen the Missions Focus. This focus will train and equip them for the work of cross-cultural missions! Pastor Jacob and I have the privilege now of spending several hours each week teaching, training, equipping, and pastoring these 6 students. We cannot wait to continue to see the growth and depth the Lord is leading them in as they continue to pursue Jesus with their whole hearts.

Thank you for your prayer, support, and participation both locally and globally as we partner with Jesus to advance the Gospel and help finish the Great Commission in the earth. We see God’s hand leading and guiding us each and every week, please know you are a huge part of that as you walk in obedience to whatever ways the Lord has led you to be involved.

For His Glory,
Nicole Dinsmore
Director of Global Missions & GO Prayer

Outreach Testimony

"This trip to the Middle East was so amazing! This was my 1st mission trip and also my first time out of the country. We went on this trip to help support the 100 hour Worship and Prayer Burn that they do in the House of Prayer in the Middle East. It was so cool to see people worshiping and praying for their country, and their nation. The way these people prayed and worshiped was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. They were so passionate and you could tell that their hearts longed for Jesus to come and fill the land and be the King of kings in the losts’ life. They prayed and sang in Arabic, and even though I couldn't understand what they were saying, I could feel the Holy Spirit so distinctly and could feel the passion and love for Jesus among the people. For me, the biggest thing I gained on this trip was a new heart for the Middle East and a desire to pray for them. We pray for the nations all of the time at GO Prayer, and my eyes have been opened to how important that really is and to not take it for granted that we get to freely worship and pray to Jesus. I also have gained a new desire to learn and read about Israel and the Middle East in the Bible. My heart is so tender and I feel like I have a new perspective on the Middle East and just the nations in general."

Missionary Spotlight

Vicente and Janine Alvarado make videos to share the Gospel with the people of Japan.Through “The Gospel Through a Click”, they create and share the stories of those who have found salvation, freedom, healing, hope and a future in the Son of God, Jesus. Using content specifically for the Japanese culture (the 2nd largest unreached people group), they work together with churches and organizations to create content that can be used to help people hear the Gospel and connect viewers to a church.

Prayer Points

1. For the funding to be able to hire a part time worker so they can expand their capacity and create more Gospel sharing videos.

2. Complete healing over Vincente’s body as he deals with regular chronic pain in his body.

3. That the Holy Spirit would move in the hearts and minds of those who come across their videos sharing the Gospel, and many more would come to know Jesus in Japan.
