I hope you are as excited about GO Conference as I am, and if you’re not let’s spend a few minutes together. As we approach the summer months, we also approach an incredible opportunity for our church community to come together and learn more about God's heart for missions. If you haven’t heard, I’m thrilled to let you know that this June, we will be hosting our first-ever missions conference, called the "GO conference," from June 1st-3rd.

During these three days, we will have the opportunity to hear from incredible guest speakers like Andy Byrd from YWAM, Steven Venable from Acts, and Gloria a frontline worker in the Middle East who will share their experiences and insights into what it means to live a life on mission. We will also be joined by anointed teams from Upper Room, YWAM Kona, LifeMission Youth, and GO Prayer who will lead us in worship as we seek to grow in our faith and understanding of God's call for each of us.

So, why should you attend the GO conference? This is an incredible opportunity to unite as a community and be equipped to make a difference in our world. You'll have the chance to hear from experts in the field and gain practical tools that you can apply to your own life, whether that means supporting missions through prayer and financial support, some other unique role he has for you, or even taking steps toward becoming a LifeMission Church sent missionary.

But more importantly, the GO conference is an opportunity to grow deeper in your relationship with God and to experience His heart for the nations. As followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet in this world, and this conference will help equip us to do just that.

Southeast Asia Outreach Testimony

We spent a couple days on an unreached Hindu island, distributing food, sharing the gospel and following up with new believers. We would ask Holy Spirit for direction or words then go where we felt He was leading. While driving by a house, one man standing outside was highlighted to a teammate. We brought him rice and asked if he needed healing for anything, he right away said yes! Come in! He brought us into his home and introduced us to his family. We then told him we are here because we are followers of Jesus and that Jesus loves him and his family very much. We got to share the gospel with him for the first time. Then we prayed for healing for a bad pain in his chest he had been having for 3 days. After we prayed he excitedly shared that while praying for him he felt a cool breeze and the pain went away! He then grabbed his son to get healing for his cold too. This family is a person of peace we were able to pass along to the LT workers.- Samantha M.

Samantha will be relaunching to the mission field in SouthEast Asia very soon and we will be commissioning her as a church body at GO Conference coming up in June! Join us at GO Conference to be apart of Samantha's commissioning ceremony in addition to seeing others like her receive their call to the Nations!

Missionary Spotlight

Joel & Haley are LifeMission Church Sent Ones who have been on the field for 2 years in Indonesia. Their mission statement is “Our heart is to minister to Jesus through worship, prayer, and obedience to the great commission, and to love others through building lasting friendships & sharing the Gospel. Our prayer is that those we minister to would replicate this vision in their own life through the working of the Holy Spirit.” Indonesia is a Muslim nation but they are working on a predominantly Hindu island. Day to day ministry for them involves english clubs, street evangelism and outreach, kids ministry, traveling to many nearby islands, and much more! Haley will be here in person for the GO Conference so come join us to hear more about their ministry in Indonesia!

Prayer Points:

1. Pray for continued abundance and provision in every area of their life and ministry.

2. That they would boldly proclaim the Gospel (Eph. 6:19)

3. For the spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, that we would know God more (Eph. 1:17)

4. For more laborers to be sent into the harvest field (Matt. 9:38)

Mission Monday

Join us this month on Monday, May 15th, at 7pm in the Barn at our Olathe Campus for Mission Monday! We'll see you there!

This monthly gathering is designed to develop a missional community. It is for ANYONE who has a heart for missions or is interested in growing a deeper understanding of the world, cultivating God's heart for all people, and discovering unique ways to be a part of God's Mission!

THE SINGLE MOM KC

PURSUIT EVENT - The Single Mom KC hosts an event called Pursuit on the first Wednesday of every month at our KCK campus.The next two events will be on May 3rd and June 7th. The volunteer opportunities range from cooking and serving the meal, greeting and helping with registration, and working with the kids. WELCOME KIT

You can help bless refugee families by gathering the "Welcome Kit" items listed and bringing them to RefugeKC or allowing them to help you deliver these donations directly to the family. You may gather an entire kit for a particular family or host a collection for a variety of items which will be distributed to multiple families. AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

Refuge KC exists to welcome our new-American neighbors with gospel-focused ministries of mercy so that they might come to know, love, and follow Jesus into His Kingdom. Ambassador teams come alongside their new-American neighbors to provide friendship, practical support, life skills, and most importantly, the hope and salvation in Jesus Christ. Teams should consist of at least 4 people with at least one male and female. To apply, click HERE!

KC DREAM CENTER

ADOPT-A-BLOCK - Saturday, May 20th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm

The Adopt-A-Block program visits select under-resourced neighborhoods every month to clean up the neighborhood, distribute food and hygiene items, and simply find a need and fill it. Click HERE!
