Last month, I asked you to share ways you cultivate a grateful heart. Let’s learn and grow from one another on ways to grow in practicing gratitude!

“Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and since I read Ann Voskamp's book, 1,000 Gifts several years ago, I begin each day thanking the Lord for 10 blessings. I write down several of them and am over 11,000 now!”

“I'm so prone to complaining I've had to really practice gratitude. It is amazing how it affects everything! My little boy and I write down ten things we're grateful for every morning.”

“Just going outside whether that’s a neighborhood walk, at the park, in the woods, by a lake, etc. really helps me shift my perspective & heart toward thanksgiving.”

Outreach Testimony!

“I had been prayed over in February 2021 at Kairos against a spirit of sickness and have been well ever since. While on one of our outreaches on Skidrow, I had the opportunity to pray over a woman who asked for prayer over her body entirely. I cried as I prayed over her remembering the power of prayer and how it healed me."

“I was stretched and pulled out of my comfort zone basically everyday. My Jesus story was simply that he was with me every step of the way.”

“Watching the team grow personally was a delight. Praying together, worshipping together, crying together, and laughing together. Can’t wait to go back!”

Missionary Spotlight!

Wick and Jan Neese are the founders and directors of Streams of Mercy, a global ministry that cares for orphans, widows, children at risk and the most poor and vulnerable in 13 nations around the world. Their passion is helping the least of these go from hopelessness to hope through the work of Christ. They care for almost 5,000 children through homes, foster families, medical teams and education.

One powerful testimony they shared is about a girl named Saritha they met at one of their foster homes for girls who have been rescued from brothels and the sex slave trade. She was a tiny 11 year old, and was rescued from the brothel when she was only 7 years old. Saritha is one of 16 girls in this amazing home. This ministry rescues, heals and equips these girls for a wonderful future through the amazing work of the Lord in their lives.

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Minister Through: Relational Evangelism to immigrants, prayer, worship, serving.
Trip Dates: April 2022

Minneapolis is home to 80,000 Somalis. Deut 10:18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. This and many verses like it demonstrate the Father's love for immigrants and his directive for us to care for them. This Spring, we have the amazing opportunity to reach one of the least-reached peoples on earth as we carry the gospel to Minnesota to share with the Somali people.
