Dear LifeMission Family,

Greetings! This month, our hearts are filled with gratitude for what the Lord did on our summer trips, and excited to see how he will work through our Fall and recently released Winter trips. The incredible passion for the nations that was sparked at the GO conference overwhelmed our Fall trips and we had to turn 10 people away. In response, we are increasing the number of trips we will be offering moving forward but I would still encourage you to apply sooner rather than later. Here is a quick reminder of the priorities we hold for all of our trips.

Reaching the Lost and Building God's Kingdom

Short-term outreaches play a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission. In the limited time we spend on these trips, God can work in miraculous ways, bringing hope to the hopeless and transforming lives. Whether it's sharing the Gospel in remote villages, offering physical aid to those in need, or supporting local churches and missionaries, these outreaches break down barriers and sow seeds of faith in the hearts of people around the world. Your dedication to these endeavors allows us to reach the unreached and build bridges of love and understanding between cultures.

Blessing our Missionaries

As a church, we wholeheartedly support our long-term missionaries who have dedicated their lives to serving in foreign lands. Short-term outreaches provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen and bless these missionaries. Your visits bring encouragement, practical assistance, and a reminder that they are not alone in their calling. The friendships formed during these trips foster a sense of community and remind our missionaries that they are loved, valued, and remembered in our prayers. Your support is an essential lifeline, empowering them to continue their work with renewed enthusiasm.

Personal Transformation Through Short-Term Outreaches

When we focus on blessing others, God takes the opportunity to bless us. One of the most profound aspects of short-term outreaches is the impact they have on the lives of those who embark on these journeys. Stepping outside our comfort zones and experiencing different cultures and realities can be a life-altering encounter. These trips challenge us to see the world through a new lens, to embrace empathy and compassion, and to grow in our faith as we witness God's hand at work in the lives of others.

Through these outreaches, we discover that mission work is not limited to a select few, but that each one of us is called to be a light-bearer in this dark world. As we continue this journey of spreading the Good News and being the hands and feet of Jesus, may we remain steadfast in our commitment to short-term outreaches, knowing that we are making an eternal impact in the lives of many as we work to fulfill the Great Commission.

Please, begin praying about your part to play in our Winter outreaches. Will you go, will you send, or will you disobey?

Blessings,

Jacob Lierz

Missionary Spotlight

Micah and Morgan, along with their 3 children, are serving the Lord as missionaries in Thailand. They lead a mixed team of locals and internationals called the "Hive Project", where they focus on evangelism and meeting local needs. We recently had an outreach team from LifeMission visit their family and assist in many areas of ministry including college ministry and english clubs.

They also lead a leadership and ministry development track to disciple and mentor Thai youth by walking alongside them in an intensive long term manner, supporting Thai young people called into full-time ministry and various evangelistic projects with all age groups.

Prayer Points:

- Pray for their daughter Eliza, as she is about to start a YWAM DTS.

- Pray for favor amongst the Burmese refugee community that they are serving and ministering in.

- Pray for continued strength and growth in their team and ministry post-Covid.

If you've never been a part of Old Settlers, it's a 3-day fair that happens in downtown Olathe in September (this year Sept 7th-9th). There are a lot of booths, fair rides, food and on Saturday there is a big parade that goes through town. We have lots of fun! LMC has been a part of Old Settlers for many years, we've prayed for and connected with hundreds of people because of it! We are giving you and other LifeMission Church leaders the first opportunity to sign up, so you can get the best time slots available! We will be rolling out these same sign ups to our entire church community beginning August 13th. Below are the areas in which you can get involved.

Booth Info:

In the booth we have three different serve opportunities/areas; Prayer Tent, Balloon/Giveaway Tent, Tattoo Tent. Click HERE to sign up.
